According to exclusive report by Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett, Forest believes that Tottenham illegally contacted White and temporarily put aside the transaction of White's transfer to Tottenham. Nottingham Forest has temporarily shelved Gibbs White's transfer to Tottenham Hotspur, and they have contacted their attorneys for potential legal proceedings. Sky Sports said the forest has stopped all communication with Tottenham.
Nottingham Forest believes that Tottenham has illegally contacted players and the Forest has never allowed them to contact White. Forest believes that Gibbs White's termination clause has confidentiality regulations, and Tottenham's bid is the price of the termination fee.
It is not clear whether Forest can completely prevent the transfer, but the transfer is expected to be postponed as Forest is preparing to file a complaint with the Premier League.
