Manchester United coach Amorim won the Premier League Coach of the Month award for the first time after leading the team to three consecutive Premier League wins in October. Since taking over Manchester United in November 2024, this is the first time he has led the team to win three consecutive games.
Amorim stood out in the comprehensive selection of fans' voting and expert jury, beating Arteta (Arsenal), Emery (Aston Villa) and Illaura (Bournemouth).
After winning the award, Amorim said in an interview with the Premier League's official website: "This honor should be attributed to my players rather than me. They performed very well. Our goal is to win the next championship, because it means we are winning the game, which is our ultimate goal."
Amorim became the first Manchester United head coach to win this award since Ten Hag in November 2023. Manchester United defeated the powerful Sunderland 2-0 in the Premier League in October; defeated defending champion Liverpool 2-1, which was their first win at Anfield in the past 10 years; and defeated Brighton 4-2.
Amorim became the sixth Portuguese coach to win the Premier League Coach of the Month, following Nuno (7 times), Mourinho (4 times), Villas-Boas (2 times), Bruno Lage (1 time) and Pereira (1 time).
In addition, Manchester United forward Mbemo won the Premier League Player of the Month Award for October.
