According to industry news, Intel will hold the "Intel Technology Tour" for the first time in Phoenix, Arizona, USA in September, and is expected to provide multiple processes and latest product developments.
It is generally expected that the event will focus on two key products that use Intel 18A process technology, including the next-generation processor Panther Lake, which will be officially released in September. It focuses on high-performance laptops and desktop markets. It is also regarded as a milestone in the technological production of Intel RibbonFET and PowerVia, and is scheduled to be mass-produced in the second half of 2025.
The Xeon "Clearwater Forest" server processor is expected to be introduced into the Darkmont Core architecture, with the number of cores that may be as high as 288 E-Cores, and is paired with Foveros Direct to provide high-energy-efficient solutions to cloud and high-density computing needs.
In addition to processor products, Intel will also update the yield progress and mass production process of the 18A and 14A stages, demonstrate the results of tape-out with partners, and explain the OEM strategy and businessization cases.
The location of this event was selected in Phoenix, near the Intel Fab 42 and Fab 52 crystal plants, symbolizing the importance of the development of the Arizona semiconductor settlement. Taiwan Electric, Amazon and Google-owned Waymo have also invested in local factories, indicating that Phoenix is rapidly rising as an important New Year for advanced North American processes and supply chains.
