A while ago, a pair of 16-year-old cat sisters came to the shelter in Maryland, USA. Their owner was an old lady. Because of the increasing inconvenience of movement, the family decided to let them stay in a nursing home. However, her two Berman cats, Zbo and Misi, could not go with her. They were worried that the old lady of their beloved cats would ask their family to take care of her, but no one was willing. Not only that, they even decided to take the two cats to the hospital and ask the doctor to euthanize them! Fortunately, the doctor with medical ethics flatly refused to give euthanasia injections to the two old cat sisters who were still in good health and sent them to the local shelter to settle in, so that the two cats could find a new home smoothly.

Misi (left) and Zbo (right) are lucky enough to escape the call of death and are sent to the shelter.

After learning that the cats were sent to the shelter to find a new home, the old lady wrote a note to the staff, and wrote down the personalities and preferences of the two cats in detail. It can be seen how much the old lady loves Mithy and Zibo.

The old lady carefully explained the personality and preferences of the cats, and she could see her reluctance.

The two cats who came to a strange environment were very uncomfortable at first when they were not with the old lady, especially Mixi, who was slender inside, was obviously thin. Fortunately, after the shelter released their stories, information about intentional adoption flew like snowflakes. Considering that Misi and Zibo are both older, the staff hope to help them find families that can adopt two of them at a time so that they don’t have to leave each other.

Finally, Misi and Zbo were adopted by a couple living near the shelter.

Adopted people are a couple, and their cats passed away because they were old. Their daughter accidentally saw the adoption text of Misi and Zibo, so she suggested that they go to the shelter to check it out. Unexpectedly, Misi and Zibo found a new home smoothly!

Hairy children, like humans, should be able to raise themselves in peace. Even if they are old, as long as they are healthy, sick and painless, no one has the right to take away their lives! I also hope that when you adopt, you can give older cats and dogs more opportunities, and the old hairy children can also be the most caring partner!
