LingCheng is currently seeking to expand its business beyond real estate management and announced several months ago that it would cooperate with capital companies to develop asset management business. The company also appointed John Saunders, head of real estate and global head of real estate client business in Blackrock as the group's chief investment president and led Link Real Estate Partners.
As of the end of March, the company's total real estate portfolio was HK$226 billion (approximately SGD37 billion).
Link REIT, which is trading in Hong Kong, plans to launch a real estate investment trust mainly in mainland China and Hong Kong real estate in Singapore.
Lingzhan Real Estate Investment Trust unit price closed at HK$41.75 (approximately S$6.84), starting at 1.09%. Unit prices have risen 27% this year, with a market value of US$13.7 billion (about S$17.6 billion).
Bloomberg quoted sources as saying that LinkedIn Real Estate Investment Trust had preliminary discussions with consultants on the IPO of the New Real Estate Investment Trust. As the plan is still in its initial stages, it may not be implemented.
According to the official website of LinkedIn, the company has 130 real estate projects in Hong Kong; 24 projects in mainland China, Singapore and Australia, including Jurong Point.
Bloomberg asked Link Asset Management for confirmation, but the company said it would not comment.
